Transfer of Mobile Harbor Crane to MIT Terminal

We are pleased to inform you of the strategic transfer of a Mobile Harbor Crane (MHC) from Lae Main Wharf to MIT in Motukea

This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency and ensure seamless service delivery.

Purpose of Transfer:

• Support and Reserve: The MHC at MIT will support the existing two MHC’s and serve as a reserve unit to ensure uninterrupted operations, while Lae Tidal Basin continues to be served by 2 x Ship to Shore gantry cranes supported by 1 x MHC.
• Operational Deployment: If vessel operations can accommodate three cranes servicing one ship, the third MHC will be deployed to further enhance operational efficiency, significantly improving vessel moves per hour.

This transfer underscores our commitment to operational excellence and our dedication to meeting the growing demands of our clients.
