Dear Valued Clients,
Please be advised of our operational hours during the Christmas & New Year season.

MIT will be closed on;
December 25th from 0800H until December 26th 0800H
December 31st from 2000H until January 1st, 2022 1300H

Highly encourage Shipping Lines to bring their vessels before or after the port closure hours. Should there be any vessel OPS left , will be resumed after port closure. 


Also note that December 26th, 27th  2021 and January 1st, 2022 are public holidays, as such,

  • Vessel Operations: 
    • Continue as normal in line with MITL berthing schedule. Subject to public holiday shift fee as per tariff book.
  • Receiving and Delivery: 
    • MIT gates will be closed but port users/clients,
      • who wish to receive/deliver containers on 26th/27th   Dec 2021 can apply for overtime before Friday 24th  Dec 2021 and arrange payments on or before 1500/24th Dec.
      • who wish to receive/deliver containers on 1st / 2nd of Jan 2022 can apply for overtime before Friday 31st Dec 2021 and arrange payments on or before 1500/31st Dec.
  • Billing Office:
    • Billing office will be closed but port users/clients 
      • who wish to transact business on 26th  / 27th  Dec 2021 can apply for overtime before Friday 24th  Dec 2021 and arrange payments on or before 1500/24th Dec.
      • who wish to transact business on 1st / 2nd  of Jan 2022 can apply for overtime before Friday 31st Dec 2021 and arrange payments on or before 1500/31st Dec.

Please note MIT Billing and Gates normally closed on Sundays. 26th  Dec and 2nd Jan 2022 falls on  Sundays. Hence, requesting you to manage your Gate transactions and Billing well in advance to avoid any inconveniences.


Regular business hours will resume on Monday 28th Dec 2021,  0800H & Monday 3rd Jan 2022, 0800H 

MIT Management has full control over Approve/Decline OT based on the availability of resources/manpower. 

All Shipping Lines , Please disseminate to all your stakeholders / customers who might not be included in MIT Advisory email group. Appreciate your usual support to avoid any inconvenience.
