Please be advised that Monday, 01st March 2021 and Friday, 12th March 2021 has been declared as Public Holidays in the National Gazette, Respect of former late PM , Grand Chief Rt.Hon. Sir Michael Thomas Somare.
As such,
- Vessel Operations: Continue as normal in line with the MIT berthing schedule. Subject to public holiday shift fee as per tariff book.
- Receiving and Delivery: On 01st Mar, MIT gates will be closed but port users/clients who wish to receive/deliver containers can file for overtime prior to Saturday 27th Feb 21 / 1000H and arrange payment on or before 27th Feb /1200H
- On 12th Mar, MIT gates will be closed but port users/clients who wish to receive/deliver containers can file for overtime prior to Thursday 11th Mar 2021 / 1500H and arrange payment on or before 11th Mar 2021 / 1700H
- Billing Office : On 01st Mar, MIT gates will be closed but port users/clients who wish to transact business with MIT Billing can file for overtime prior to Saturday 27th Feb 21 / 1000H and arrange payment on or before 27th Feb /1200H
- On 12th Mar, MIT gates will be closed but port users/clients who wish to transact business with MIT Billing can file for overtime prior to Thursday 11th Mar 2021 / 1500H and arrange payment on or before 11th Mar 2021 / 1700H
Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday 02nd Mar 2021/ Saturday 13nd Mar 2021 from 0800H
MIT Management have full control to Approve/Decline OT based on the availability of resources/manpower.
